Wining and Dining in Madeira, Portugal
We recently took a group of clients to a picturesque setting in Madeira, just outside of Lisbon, Portugal. This venue is one of our favorites, and the perfect place to experience Portuguese culture in all its forms.
Amid barrels and candlelight, our guests dined in an underground wine cellar, where they sampled traditional Portuguese cuisine from one of the country’s most celebrated chefs. All ingredients are locally sourced, and the menu always reflects the tastes of the Portuguese in any given season. The wine list, too, couldn’t be more local. They are made from the grapes in the vineyard and always carefully paired with each course.
Surrounded by vineyards on the southern slopes of the main wine-producing region of Madeira, this culinary destination is always a favorite of our clients. The view across the Atlantic is breathtaking, particularly at sunset. And with traditional Madeira cuisine, world-class wine, and even the entertainment of local folk dancers, it really doesn’t get any better.
