Global Management Services receives 2013 Illinois Excellence Award

October 10th 2013 – Global Management Services has been selected for the 2013 Illinois Excellence Award amongst all its peers and competitors by the Small Business Institute for Excellence in Commerce (SBIEC).

Each year the SBIEC conducts business surveys and industry research to identify companies that have achieved demonstrable success in their local business environment and industry category. They are recognized as having enhanced the commitment and contribution of small businesses through service to their customers and community. Small businesses of this caliber enhance the consumer driven stature that Illinois is renowned for.

Global Management Services has consistently demonstrated a high regard for upholding business ethics and company values. This recognition by SBIEC marks a significant achievement as an emerging leader within various competitors and is setting benchmarks that the industry should follow.

As part of the industry research and business surveys, various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the selected companies in each category. This research is part of an exhaustive process that encapsulates a year long immersion in the business climate of Illinois.


The SBIEC is a leading authority on researching, evaluating and recognizing companies across a wide spectrum of industries that meet its stringent standards of excellence. It has spearheaded the idea of independent enterprise and entrepreneurial growth allowing businesses of all sizes to be recognized locally and encouraged globally.

Particular emphasis is given to meeting and exceeding industry benchmarks for customer service, product quality and ethical practices. Industry leading standards and practices have been developed and implementation of the same has been pioneered by the dedicated efforts of the business community and commerce leadership.

GMS Realigns its Services

In an effort to better serve our clients, we have decided to change our business model somewhat. United States and Canada are large countries with so many destinations.  We recognize that we just cannot serve all destinations if we want to be the best.  Consequently, we have spent the past several weeks realigning our services in order to be better positioned to provide our clients with improved service levels—including preferred access to unique venues, preferential relations with top-rated hotels, and advantageous partnerships with key suppliers. This, we believe, will enable us to be recognized as a leading DMC in the markets we have elected to serve as our primary destinations: Chicago (including the farm country), New York, Miami-Orlando corridor, Las Vegas and San Francisco in the US and Toronto (including Niagara Falls) in Canada.  In the coming months, we will be dedicating additional resources to these selected markets including exciting product development coupled with new local program managers—with the ultimate goal of opening offices in all of these destinations.

We are also excited to announce that we have elected to offer FIT services in Chicago.  We will soon appoint an FIT manager who will be our focal person for that business.  Please note that FIT services will only be offered in Chicago.

With the new focus, we are confident that we will be able to bring to the table enhanced creativity, competitiveness in pricing and better on-site support for our clients at any of the above destinations.  Effective immediately, therefore, we will only entertain requests for these destinations.
